Water of Leith

My running route follows a small river known as the Leith. Beauty surrounds me here in New Zealand, as you can see from these photos. The name of the city of Dunedin is the anglicised form of Dùn Èideann which is the Scottish Gaelic form of the name Edinburgh. The river is named for the Water of Leith which runs through the Scottish capital. I've mentioned previously the sisterhood between Edinburgh and Dunedin, and the Leith is another example of that special relationship.
